The underwater inspection of windfarm structures and connecting cables is a vital part of the day to day running of offshore wind energy.
That is why, at Balmore, we operate an award winning drone service that provides underwater ROV inspection and aerial drone survey services for offshore wind turbines. Our Falcon ROV underwater inspection vehicle has a depth rating of 300m (1,250ft) and with its modular chassis design, can be equipped with a range of inspection tools and survey equipment (up to 14Kgs) that allow us to provide a complete inspection service that offers real cost savings over conventional inspection methods.
Our underwater inspections can be provided above water by our RIB Access Craft. Our RIB can carry up to 12 passengers + crew in up to category 3 waters 20 miles from a safe haven. This includes travel at night and without a ‘Fair Weather’ restriction.
